Solution focused hypnotherapy is an extremely positive and empowering therapy.  Those seeking therapy are often motivated to move forward in their lives and solution focused hypnotherapy offers the opportunity to do just that.  Whilst we are happy to discuss and, importantly, acknowledge the past, we do not focus or delve into past traumas and issues.  Instead, we focus on your goals and preferred future, help you to understand what is happening in the brain during difficult times, and take positive steps to move forward from the issue that caused you to seek help.  

The core principle of solution focused hypnotherapy is the focus on finding solutions rather than unpacking the problematic issues contained in the presenting condition. So, in practice, it assesses your present condition and sets future desirable goals instead of looking back into your past traumas and problems.

Hypnotherapy is a safe procedure when done by a trained therapist. Hypnotherapy isn't mind control or brainwashing. Your therapist can't make you do something embarrassing or something you don't want to do.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy has a number of well-documented benefits. It is effective in treating a wide range of psychological conditions, including anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, depression, phobias, and eating disorders.

We usually say between 8 and 12 sessions, sometimes more depending on the individual.  As with all therapy, full client commitment is required for best results.

 For the best results, I recommend that you have weekly sessions.
